Tankardstown House is one of those super wedding venues that was transformed magnificently into an absolute beauty. Tankardstown House weddings for winter – the fireplaces in the rooms at the main house drawing rooms combine like nothing else – a super warm, fantastic and festive atmosphere. Offering a completely blank canvas-style space for couples. Their famous Orangery is an amazing option on a rainy day or winter.

The wedding started on a beautiful sunny spring day, when it was nice and crisp at 9 am in the morning. Outdoor Weddings are always a joy for any wedding photographer that loves capturing natural frames, and this was an outdoor wedding, which I was very much looking forward to.

One of the most memorable weddings I’ve photographed. And I could not thank both Khaiyisha and Neill enough for trusting me to capture their memories. Also, a special shout out to all the staff, wedding suppliers and the culinary team, who did a superb job looking after the newlyweds. I am still in awe of the amazing job Tankardstown do to host weddings.

The Wedding Venue

18th Century Country House and gardens that are magnificently turned into one of Meath’s TOP Wedding Venues as well as one of Ireland’s best wedding venues. Tankardstown House wedding day capacity is 50 to 250 guests. The venue is exclusive to couples who hire it for their special day. The bridal suite is absolutely amazing, incorporating antique furniture all around. The wedding coordinator and the team are working hard to make your day special and do a great job on it, consistently looking after every little request and single detail. One of the most important values is their attention to detail, food and perfectionism for those who like their day perfect and worry-free! You can arrange a private viewing at this gorgeous venue and check the wedding menu as well as you can have a family dinner in the award winning Brabazon restaurant on the venue’s grounds.

Morning Preparations

Here the bride and groom planned to get ready in the same place (apart, but close). The Boyne House in Slane, Co Meath offers a cozy ambience that somehow fits between being timeless and dreamlike at the same time, it is just unique. The bridal suite was not available at the time. The natural light from the windows is soothing and evenly spread out, making everything look beautiful. Catching candids of her hair and makeup was superb, and the house offers a lot of creative freedom for moving around and creating lovely compositions that enhance the storytelling vibe of the final images.

The ceremony

The ceremony was set up in the walled garden. During the summer weddings, civil or symbolic ceremonies and drinks receptions can be held in the walled gardens, or in the beautiful, light-filled Orangery.

Family Photos

Family photos are a very important part of every wedding, although not many people think they are exciting. I can tell – they can be fun and efficient if planned to be so. Here at the Tankardstown house walled garden, we had a planned list of family members to attend the family photo part, and we had lots of fun and relaxed picture-taking.

Portraits at Tankardstown House

Tankardstown House is endless for wedding portraits. They have massive tall trees that look stunning and majestic in any weather conditions. The well-maintained walled gardens create a perfect backdrop for a great variety of photographs. The exciting thing is that you do not need to spend much time with your wedding photographer doing portraits as it is all there within 2 minutes of a walk, out of sight of guests, where the couples can relax and share moments between themselves. This gives the couple to have their own little break while having a walk around the gardens and capturing stunning portraits. Tankardstown house wedding photos usually have a relaxed vibe, very much like the venue.

Reception, wedding dinner

The space at the main house provides a very warm welcoming atmosphere. Open plan terrace for those days that are warmer and comfortable atmosphere inside the house on wet days. On a spring day like this, the weather was fabulous and guests could enjoy their drinks outside. The orangery was decorated for the dinner and there was a lot of daylight coming from the glass roof, which is providing an extra spacious feel. The Wedding Meal is served in the magnificent Orangery, nestled comfortably around the Main House at lower garden level, adorned with a decadent chandeliers, antique furniture, and sophisticated soft lighting
